Fall Family Photos: BTS

Hi, beauties! Welcome back! I'm soooo excited to share all the ins and outs of our fall family photo session we did a few weeks back. I received our gallery a few days ago and I am IN LOVE! We have worked with this photographer for a little over two years, so she is super familiar and in tune with the best ways to capture these special moments between our little family!

Cotton On (US)

I'll be sharing all of our outfit details and what makeup products I used to complete the entire look! XOXO

For our outfits, I really wanted to create a neutral palette, and have Clayton in a statement piece of some sort. Most of the pieces the guys are wearing are actually from Target!  My outfit pieces are all from different places so those will be listed out separately down below.

My outfit: for this look I chose a flowy off the shoulder blouse. I can't remember exactly where I got it, it was some little boutique, but I did find a similar one here  and here!  Jeans are from Zara , and my boots are Steve Madden (and they're on SALE right now!!)

Hubby's outfit: Let me start by saying it took every bit of convincing to get him to wear a friggin sweater and dress shoes, lol! He was not having it in this outfit, but I'm so glad he listened to me because I think if he would've worn anything else the photos would've came out sooooo different. His knit shirt  and plain white button down are both from Target. Jeans are from Zumiez . Shoes are a few years old from Aldo so I couldn't find the exact pair that he has, but I did find a similar pair here.

Claytons outfit: Doesn't he look so adorable?! I may be partial, but I'm preeetttyyyy sure we created the most perfect child on Earth. Look at those CURLS! Ugh, he literally makes me melt.       I decided to put my sweet bub in more of a statement piece since, of course, he is the main reason we were doing this, lol. So my mom bought this vest for him around this time last year at Target. Unfortunately I couldn't find it anywhere, but I did find one in a similar style here!  His jeans are from Target , shirt is from Baby Gap (and it's on sale for $9.99 right now!) and shoes are also from Baby Gap (on sale, too!)

Now for the good stuff- MAKEUP! I really wanted to do a warm toned, sunset eye for this look considering it was an evening fall session. Since I was going for warm neutrals with our outfits, I felt this look would work perfectly! I'm going to list below each product I used for what...

Face

Concealer: I used Tarte Shape Tape in the shade "fair neutral" to conceal and brighten under the eyes, bridge of the nose, and on my chin and middle of my forehead. I blended everything out with a Beauty Blender.

I set everything with the Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder.

I primed my eyes with my Tarte Shape Tape concealer (mentioned above), then went in with the shade "Silk Creme" from the JH palette, applying it with a Morphe M518 in and a little above my crease as a transition shade. Then to deepen my crease shade a little bit, I applied the shade "Pukey" with a Morphe M573

I used that same M573 brush to apply the shade "Terra Cotta" from the 3502 Palette on the outer corner and halfway in the crease and blended that in really well, then used a Morphe M524 to apply "Roxanne" from the JH Palette on top of the previous color, and then blending it out just a little bit more back with the M573 on the outer corner to deepen the shade.

To complete the look, I took a clean fluffy blending brush (you can use whatever you have) to blend the entire look out and get rid of any harsh lines, and then I applied the shade "Enlight" from the JH Palette in the inner corner and brow bone. For the lower lash line I went back in with the shade "Roxanne" mixed with a tiny bit of the shade "Mocha" from the JH Palette using a Morphe E18.

  • Lashes: I applied strip lashes from the House Of Lashes X Sephora Holiday Gem Set in the style "Natalia" with DUO Strip Lash Adhesive in clear.

  • Setting Spray: I set my entire face with Morphe Continuous Setting Mist and fanned my face to quickly dry it and keep everything in place!

  • Lips: I wanted to keep my lips really natural and simple since I did such a bold eye look, so I decided to just use a pretty neutral gloss. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb worked perfectly for this! This lip product is completely universal and just enhances your natural lip color. It's seriously a must have!

I'm so glad I was able to share these photos with you all. My family means the world to me, and I feel like these pictures really show the love we have for one another. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and please let me know if you recreate this makeup look! I'd love to see different variations of it! XOXO
